GENERATOR OF VARIABLE FUNCTIONS,

Abstract

A description is given of a discrete-analog variable function generator. The generator consists of a programming unit and operational amplifier and multiplication units. The accuracy of reproduction of the functions is controlled by a comparator connected into the feedback circuit. For reproduction of functions with the use of second order curve segments, the generator includes 2 integrators and one invertor. It is noted that the generator allows good reproduction of harmonic functions (for example, by the use of simple programs it was possible to reproduce sounds and words in the upper audio frequency range).
