DISTRIBUTION OF METEORIC BODIES BY ENERGIES (EXPERIMENT IN WHICH LAMBDA = 9.59 m),

Abstract

In accordance with the results of radar observations of meteors in which lambda = 9.6 m during the time of the meteoric shower of the Geminids in 1963, a graph was made of the distribution of the meteoric bodies in accordance with their kinetic energies. With the extreme character of the velocity distribution (differential) of the meteoric bodies and the monotonically decreasing mass distribution of the meteoric bodies, and kinetic energy distribution of these bodies also is of a diminishing nature. The results of the experiment are in agreement with the analytical conclusions regarding the character of the law of energy distribution of meteoric bodies. (Author)
