CALCULATION OF A MIXED SUB- AND SUPERSONIC GAS FLOW IN A PLANE PRESSURE NOZZLE,

Abstract

A plane potential subsonic and supersonic flow of gas is analyzed without taking into account the viscosity and heat conduction. A particular solution, corresponding to the motion of a gas in a nozzle with a curvilinear sonic line, was obtained for the system of mixed elliptic-hyperbolic equations of motion in the potential plane. The accuracy of the simplifications used in the analysis was verified by exact calculations and experiments. (Author)
