INDEX TO THE STATE STANDARDS.

Abstract

The present index comprises all State Standards (GOST and OST) in force on 1 January 1965, and also the State Standards which had been laid down at this date but which have not yet come into force. All the GOST and OST are compiled in the index according to the relevant Sections, Classes and Groups in agreement with the 'Classification of State Standards of the Union of SSR' introduced in 1949, in which some individual groups were afterwards defined more accurately. Beginning with 1964, the Classification, in addition to a groups index, also contains an index of the Universal Decimal Classification (UDK). The index consists of three parts. Part I: The list of established GOST and OST according to Sections, Classes and Groups (in agreement with the 'Classification of State Standards' given at the beginning). Part II: List of the same standards in alphabetic order according to form and designation of the production. Part III: List of numbers of all State Standards in force and those established until 1 January 1965, which have not yet become effective.
