Abstract

The external H - extensions of functions that are H superscript m-extendable form the Hilbert space (S superscript m) (A) of H superscript m-splines with knots in A. In this paper, a complete orthonormal system, the reproducing kernel, and a nonorthogonal basis of (S superscript m) (A) are obtained. Other schemes for computing extremal H superscript m-extensions are developed. (Author)
