EQUATORIAL STUDIES OF THE VHF SIGNAL RADIATED BY INTELSAT II, F-3. I. IONOSPHERIC SCINTILLATION.

Abstract

The VHF signal radiated by INTELSAT II, F - 3 was recorded for just over one year at Legon, Ghana. The scintillation index S, a measure of the depth of fading, is determined for each five minute interval, and the results presented. The fading rate was also determined for six months of this time, and the analysis of the results presented. (Author)
