RECONNAISSANCE WEATHER PLANNING FACTORS FOR FAIR WEATHER SYSTEMS (GERMANY).

Abstract

No existing high resolution reconnaissance sensor can penetrate clouds. This study was directed toward providing weather synopses that will be useful to users, planners, and designers of reconnaissance systems. It contains information on the percentage of time a ceiling exists at or above specific altitudes for specific time periods. This information is plotted by month and then by time of day on a year-long basis. This report is on Germany, and for this study Germany was divided into seven areas (actually eight if one includes the 'excluded terrain' for which there are no representative weather data). Included are data on an around-the-clock basis for all seven areas. (Author)
