CORPUSCULAR AND RADIO EMISSION FROM THE SUN,

Abstract

Although solar flares are of primary interest here, sunspots are also discussed since they are closely related to solar flare phenomenon. Flares also frequently have an influence on nearby filaments, causing some of them to brighten and temporarily merge with the background. Consequently, related phenomena of this type are included. Some of the associated non-thermal radio emissions are also discussed. It is believed that all of the topics covered are of interest to Astronautics. (Author)
