TRANSITION OF A COMBUSTION MIXTURE FROM SUPERSONIC FLOW TO THE CHAPMAN-JOUGET REGIME,

Abstract

The investigation of supersonic flow about bodies by a combustion mixture of gases is of importance in studying combustion efficiency of fuel in ramjet engines. In the present study, a numerical method is presented for solving the problem of supersonic flow about a cylinder and a plate with a cylindrical bluntness. A study was also made of a possible transition to the Chapman-Jouget regime.
