SOLID STATE A-C ELECTROMETER AMPLIFIER.
Abstract
The paper describes a solid state A-C electrometer amplifier which has a dynamic input current range of four decades (10 to the minus 11 to 10 to the minus 7 amperes at 2.5 KHz) while maintaining a high degree of temperature stability, plus or minus 5 percent of full scale voltage over an ambient temperature range of -20 degrees to +60 degrees C. Circuit design considerations which include Field Effect Transistors (FET) amplifier-noise-parameter criteria, linearity, temperature stability, and frequency response are discussed. In addition, graphs indicating amplifier dynamic range, frequency response, and rise time are included. (Author)
