THE EFFECTS OF CYCLIC LOADING ON THE ELEVATED TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES OF TYPE 301 EFH STAINLESS STEEL, Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (A11OAT) AND Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al (B12OVCA) ALLOYS,

Abstract

The elevated temperature creep properties of Type 301 stainless steel and two titanium alloys were evaluated at 600F and 900F with loading being applied in a cyclic manner. In addition, the effects of creep strain developed by cyclic loading on subsequent room temperature properties was studied. These results were compared to those obtained under similar conditions but with constant load. (Author)
