EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF VORTICITY OF AN EXTERNAL FLOW ON FLOW PARAMETERS IN SEPARATION REGIONS,

Abstract

An analysis is given of the vortex interaction between the free-jet boundary layer and the external flow in the separation region of a hypersonic gas flow past a body. The parameter of the vortex interaction is determined by an analysis of an ideal flow coupled with the real flow in the separation region. The effect of variations in the vorticity level of the external flow on the structure of the mixing region is discussed. (Author)
