OPTIMAL DESIGNING OF A SALIENT-POLE INDUCTOR OF A SYNCHRONOUS MACHINE,

Abstract

The article deals with the computational method of designing the inductor in question. The choice of the basic dimensions are first made, the aim being to assure the assigned volume of the magnetizing force. The data card should provide the geometrical dimensions. Experience and intuition are involved. The problem is stated with the proper formulas and the mathematical operations are explained. The pitfalls are pointed out.
