PARAMETRIC AMPLIFIERS,

Abstract

Parametric Amplifiers, because of their inherent low noise properties offer a method of extending the range of existing and future radar systems. In general they maybe classed as either degenerate or nondegenerate, the former having an advantage of simple construction, and in many applications, superior noise characteristics. During this reporting period several degenerate paramps were designed and test at both C and X bands. Amplification of approximately 20 db with a 3 db bandwidth of approximately 3 mc were achieved.
