THE DEVELOPMENT OF A METACOMPILER CONTAINING LIST-PROCESSING CAPABILITIES.

Abstract

A special list-processing system has been developed and integrated with a metacompiler. The special list-processing system is based on directed graph structures which can be created and manipulated by a programmer. Each directed graph structure is characterized by a set of nodes linked together by arcs. The combination of a list-processing facility and metacompiler has been found to be a useful laboratory tool for implementing special-purpose, high-level language translators and compilers and for implementing computer program optimizing systems.
