A LOGICAL SEQUENCE FOR DERIVING SPECIAL PURPOSE DIGITAL COMPUTER DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS,

Abstract

A logical sequence for deriving computer specifications to meet system requirements is developed. A system analysis is carried out in which part of the analysis is to describe the behavior of the system as a sequence of events. The events which either utilize or are controlled by the computer are selected. The time history of the selected events is the basic worksheet for the subsequent logic sequence. Each of the major computer sections is developed in turn, culminating in the entire computer organization and the logic governing that organization. Techniques for mechanizing the logical equations are included in the logic sequence. (Author)
