MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF TWO-LAYERS FILMS,

Abstract

The paper studies the feasibility of increasing the coercive forces in magnetic thin-film storages by depositing directly on the main film a second highly coercive layer. The magnetic films were made by vapor deposition of the alloys NiFe and CoFe. The bearing substance was glass. The results of the investigation are that the magnetic properties of thin two-layer films in direct contact average out because of the exchange connection between the magnetizations of the layers.
