TABLES OF IONIZATION EQUILIBRIUM EQUATION OF STATE AT STELLAR TEMPERATURES AND DENSITIES.

Abstract

The screened Coulomb formulation of the ionization equilibrium equation of state is used to generate data for equation of state tables for a stellar mixture of eight elements. Two temperature-density T-rho regions are used: the T-rho region of the photosphere and low chromosphere of the sun and the T-rho region of the interior of normal stars. Information useful for detailed opacity calculations is also included. The basic ideas and formulas used are outlined.
