NORMAP PROGRAM DOCUMENTATION.

Abstract

The report describes the operation and use of Program NORMAP - a method of cluster analysis and unsupervised pattern recognition. The program takes the scores or measurements of as many as 1000 individuals or objects and groups them into different types under the assumption that each type has a multivariate normal distribution of the scores and that all the distributions have the same covariance matrix. Complete program listings and illustrative printouts for the Fisher Iris data are included. (Author)
