SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF BLOOD PARAMETERS USING RADIOCHROMIUM-LABELED RED CELLS AND RADIOIRON LABELED PLASMA,
Abstract
Separate procedures for the measurement of erythrokinetics, ferrokinetics, and blood volume have previously been reported. The technic described in this paper measures these parameters simultaneously, thereby reducing the volume of blood and number of samples needed to be drawn, and decreasing the possibility of artifactual variations in parameters. Values obtained by this technic are in good agreement with those resulting from the separate studies. (Author)
