Abstract
The first section of the report deals primarily with shipboard data-handling systems. The second section is devoted to individual instruments and combinations of instruments. This section is arranged by functional groupings which cover instruments used to measure water temperature, turbulence, optical properties of water, waves, and bottom heat flow. A subsection dealing with miscellaneous instruments and support equipment also is included, as is an alphabetical listing of authors whose articles appear in the report. (Author)
