TWO COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR CONTOUR PLOTTING.

Abstract

The report describes two computer programs for the contour plotting of functions of two variables. Data can be given at the mesh points of either a rectangular or nonrectangular grid. Linear interpolation is used for locating contours relative to the given grid of data points. A procedure for augmenting the grid of given points by means of a nonlinear interpolating formula is included. If this option is used, the contours are generated by linear interpolation on the augmented grid of points. (Author)
