MEMBRANE FILTERS AND THEIR USE IN MICROBIOLOGICAL STUDIES OF WATER

Abstract

The aim of the short survey is to (1) give a precise description of the membrane (molecular) filters, (2) examine the various trends marking their use in hydrobiology in general and in water microbiology in particular, (3) and to analyze the present-day status of the use of membrane filters in the field in foreign countries.
