BASIC TASKS OF THE FIVE-YEAR PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TOPOGRAPHIC-GEODETIC AND CARTOGRAPHIC WORK FOR 1966-1970 (Osnovnye Zadachi Pyatiletnego Plana Razvitiya Topografo-Geodezicheskikh i Kartograficheskikh Rabot na 1966-1979 gg.).

Abstract

The basic directives of economical activities for the next five years were established and the tasks in the domain of ideological and organizational work were outlined at the 23rd Party Congress of the Soviet Union. The Communist Part of the Soviet Union considers that the primary economical task of the five-year plan is to obtain a considerable rise in the nation's living standards. They plan to increase industrial and agricultural production. Mineral and raw material sources are to be developed, and geological prospecting is to be expanded. Cartographic plants are to plan ways to reduce manufacturing costs. This paper describes how the Soviet Union intends to bring about its five-year plan. (Author)
