Abstract

Background and descriptive information is given of a centrifugal air compressor failure which occurred at the Wind Tunnels Facility, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, on 25 January 1968. An impeller wheel burst and pieces of the wheel broke through the casing of the machine. (Author)
