PROBLEMS IN THE VIBRATION THEORY OF CIRCULAR DOUBLE SUSPENSION-CABLE STRUCTURES,

Abstract

Double-layer, round, suspension cable structure (hereafter referred to as a suspension cable structure) is a new type, economic and a reasonable structure. A dynamic analysis of this type of structure has very important and practical significance. The first part of this paper introduces this subject. It simplifies the structure into a single, free system; the non-linear vibration theory is then used to study the symmetrical self-vibration of the axis in the vertical direction. Later, in the second part of this paper, the structure is considered as a multiple free system; the linear vibration theory is used to study its horizontal and circular free vibration. (Author)
