THE USE OF CORRELATION EQUATIONS TO DESCRIBE THE INTERACTION OF SUBSTITUENTS WITH THE FERROCENYL NUCLEUS,

Abstract

A systematic correlation analysis was conducted on the quantitative data about the effect of substituents on the reversible oxidation of substituted ferrocenes. The character of interaction between the substituents, the five-member aromatic ring and the iron nucleus as the reaction center in the oxidation of monosubstituted ferrocenes was studied. A clarification was made of certain pecularities of the iron atom as a reaction center in this reaction. (Author)
