LEAD-BISMUTH ALLOY BOLOMETERS,

Abstract

It was concluded that when the thicknesses of metallic layer and backing, the pressure in the bulb, and the operating regime of the bolometer bridge are correctly selected, bismuth-lead alloy bolometers produced by a evaporation in vacuo onto a celluloid backing have a sensitivity threshold lower than that of bolometers produced by other methods and comparable with the best thermal-type photoreceptors operating at room temperature.
