ON THE THEORY OF AEROSOL FILTRATION. I. THE ROLE OF VAN DER WAALS FORCES,

Abstract

On the basis of experimental findings i.e. the influence of van der Waals forces on the coagulation of aerosols, it is shown that these forces must exert an effect on filtration too. In this paper the effective particle radii for the case of filtration is calculated.
