STRUCTURE AND INSECTICIDAL ACTIVITY OF SOME MIXED ESTERS OF DITHIOPHOSPHORIC ACID,

Abstract

A standard study of the insecticidal action of the esters of dithiophosphoric acid was carried out on the rice weevil (Calandra oryzae L.). The preparations were tested in the form of water emulsions, with an alkyl-phenyl ether of heptaethyleneglycol as emulsifier. A standard number of insects were treated with the emulsion of each preparation, and the mortality was recorded for a period of three days. In this count, insects sickened by the poison were included half with the living and half with the dead insects.
