HYDROELASTICITY WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO HYDROFOIL CRAFT.

Abstract

The monograph presents a comprehensive view of hydrofoil hydroelasticity. The field of unsteady hydrodynamics is reviewed for the subcavitating, cavitating, and ventilated flow regimes. Theoretical and experimental results for hydrofoil flutter and divergence are reviewed. The effects of the hydrodynamic and structural parameters in hydroelastic problems are discussed. An extensive bibliography is presented. (Author)
