HIGH-ENERGY PULSED LIQUID LASER.

Abstract

Results are presented on the spectroscopic properties of laser solutions based on POCl3 and SeOCl2. From this point of view the solutions are roughly comparable. Initial results of laser experiments are given for a study of solution composition and of the geometrical effects of the laser cell. The losses are slightly high; the slope efficiencies are between 1 and 1.5 percent. Small-signal amplifier experiments are also described. These show a gain of 18 dB for an 18-cm cell. (Author)
