HYDROGEN TO HELIUM RATIO IN THE SOLAR PHOTOSPHERE.

Abstract

Theoretical calculations of the residual intensities in the wings of the resonance lines of Ca I lambda 4226.73 A and the K line of Ca II lambda 3922.67 A give strong evidence that the ratio of hydrogen to helium in the solar photosphere is about H/He = 7. (Author)
