MODEL OF THE ATMOSPHERE AND SURFACE OF MARS FROM THE HYPOTHESIS ON PURELY SCATTERING ATMOSPHERES,

Abstract

Attempts to explain the visible phenomena on Mars and also the general properties of this planet (particularly, the unique coloration of Mars) have been made recently by several authors. The author discusses some of their reasoning. He gives preference to the diffusive theory, rather than the absorbent theory, for the atmosphere of Mars.
