COMPUTATION OF SHROUDED AND UNSHROUDED PROPELLERS WITH THE AID OF FORMULAS OBTAINED FROM DIAGRAMS OF SYSTEMATIC MODEL TESTS OF PROPELLERS,
Abstract
Formulas for calculating conventional propellers were obtained from diagrams of four-blade propellers of the Troost series with a disc ratio with allowance for corrections. Diagrams for four-blade propellers with symmetrical blades widened at the tips and a disc ratio of theta = 0.58 operated in shrouds were used to calculate shrouded propellers. The procedure of calculations using the obtained formulas is given. (Author)
