FRICTION IN A VACUUM,

Abstract

The effect of vacuum on the friction behavior of steel has been investigated. It was found that the weight loss of the specimens due to friction increases rapidly with decreased pressure until the pressure reaches a certain value below which the weight also remains constant. (Author)
