SOME PROBLEMS OF THE STRUCTURAL STRENGTH OF AIRCRAFT,

Abstract

The article deals with wing forms, particularly the delta shape and the strains and stresses that go with it. Computers have been used to design wings. Variable wings are compared to fixed wings. Aerodynamic heating is taken into consideration. Creep is discussed. The shell theory is introduced. The main problem is raising the theoretical level of applied computation methods, making them more reliable and striving for their effective numerical accomplishment based on the achievements of modern mechanics, mathematics, computer technology and experimental methods.
