DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TEST, AND FABRICATION OF CARGO PARACHUTE RELEASE ASSEMBLY, 12,000-POUND CAPACITY

Abstract

A tilt-type cargo parachute release assembly having suspended cargo capacity of 12,000 pounds was developed. Static and dynamic structural tests plus a series of airdrop tests were conducted with three 12,000-pound capacity release fabricated for test. These tests demonstrated that the developed units met all the design, performance, and service requirements.
