ON THE USE OF TIME-DEPENDENT METHODS FOR THE SOLUTION OF INVISCID RADIATION PROBLEMS.

Abstract

A solution is presented for the unsteady inviscid hydrodynamical equations for a radiating gas, using a numerical technique which is second-order accurate. The results were satisfactory for weak shocks. For strong shocks it was necessary to calculate the flow in the limit of small viscosity and heat conduction. (Author)
