PRESSURE DEPENDENCE OF THE DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF SOME ORGANIC LIQUIDS AND OF FIFTEEN OF THE ALKALI HALIDES.

Abstract

Measurements are reported of the pressure dependence of the permittivity of n-pentane, n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane, n-decane, carbon disulphide, eugenol, glycerol, diethyl ether, LiF, LiCl, NaF, NaCl, NaBr, NaI, KF, KCl, KBr, KI, RbBr, RbI, CsBr, CsI (single crystals). Temperature range 0-100 deg C., pressure range 1-4,000 kgf/sq. cm, frequency range 20-8 million Hz. Temperature dependence of the permittivity of alkali halides measured and dielectric dispersion in glycerol and eugenol investigated. (Author)
