ESR OF Mn2+ IN FERROELECTRIC LiTaO3 AND LiNbO3 SINGLE CRYSTALS.

Abstract

Measurement of the ESR spectrum of Mn2+ in single crystals of LiTaO3 and LiNbO3 at 300, 4.2, and 1.8 degrees K discloses relatively large axial crystal-field splittings. A possible correlation between these splittings and the Li 1+ site geometry in both hosts is discussed. (Author)
