PORTABLE EQUIPMENT FOR THE AUTOMATIC RECORDING OF TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE AND AVERAGE WIND VELOCITY AT LEVELS FROM 0.5 TO 5.0 m,

Abstract

Portable equipment for the automatic recording of atmospheric temperature gradient and wind velocity at different levels is described. The equipment consists of a portable collapsible mast, temperature sensors, wind velocity sensors, control panel (which is housed together with the power supply), an electronic recorder of measured parameters, a P-33 resistance box and a NO-62 bridge. The equipment also includes 300 meters of shielded conductor cable. The equipment makes it possible to measure temperature differences as assigned altitudes (with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.03C) in the atmospheric layer close to the ground. It can also measure the average air layer temperature between preassigned altitudes (with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.001C) and the average wind velocity at specified altitudes (from 1 to 2 m/sec).
