PROGRESS REPORT IN POSTATTACK ECOLOGY.

Abstract

The report summarizes progress in research on postattack ecology, which is concerned with the interim and long-term environmental consequences of a nuclear attack. The program is particularly concerned with the effects of fallout and residual radiation on insects, rodents and native and crop plants. Artificial fallout particles containing beta ray or beta-gamma ray emitting isotopes are being used extensively in the program. (Author)
