CRITICAL EVALUATION OF MEASUREMENT PRACTICES IN POST-HIGH SCHOOL VOCATIONAL ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY COURSES.

Abstract

The study evaluates the adequacy of the measurement procedures of the two-year post-high school electronics technology course throughout the United States for measuring the two general objectives of these courses; namely, the knowledge of theory objective and the preparation for entry job objective. Extensive review is given of the literature concerning the objectives and measurement procedures for electronics training, which should be of interest to both military and civilian teachers and administrators concerned with the training of electronics technicians. A classification of electronics job activities is presented as a structure for the development of job-task performance tests and accompanying scoring schemes. (Author)
