SEALANTS FOR SAW KERFS IN FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS,
Abstract
Investigations were made of saw kerf installations for inrunway lighting systems in various parts of the country. Personal inspections and/or review of reports were made of nine installations. Mail or phone contact was established to determine a condition report for several others. Forty-four different materials were checked and considered for use in saw kerf sealing. A specification for a flexible sealing compound, coal tar binder, epoxy resin base is given.
