FALLOUT COMPUTATIONAL TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

Computer programs have been prepared to plot dynamic dose rate contours and maximum dose rate contours. A fallout dose rate subroutine has been written for inclusion in an OCD general weapon effects model. These programs, which utilize the Miller fallout model, are extensions of programs generated earlier. Several improved computational procedures have been incorporated into the beta dosage program. The N-member chain concept has been developed for computing abundances of individual nuclides in fission product material. Negatron spectra for 175 nuclides have been built into the program and new beta spectra energy degradation data are used for weapon fallout. An option to calculate point dose on the circumference of a sub-surface disk and an option to generate SC4020 plots of point dose vs. tissue depth have been incorporated. A gamma dosage program has been developed incorporating the N-member chain and many other procedures developed for the beta dosage program. (Author)
