A TRANSLATION DESCRIPTION SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER LANGUAGES,

Abstract

The outline of a system for describing significant programming language translations is given. An attempt is made to justify the inclusion of certain features of the system. This is done by giving examples of their usefulness -- as well as some proofs that without some such features certain classes of translations would be impossible. (Author)
