NON-EQUILIBRIUM EFFECTS IN CHEMICAL KINETICS.

Abstract

The analysis of non-equilibrium effects in chemical rates requires solutions of appropriate transport equations. Discussed is a simple way of obtaining the Boltzmann equation of transport, including bimolecular reactions in a gas at low density and Chapman-Enskog type solutions for this equation and their consequences for chemical kinetics.
