PROTECTION OF PACKING MATERIAL AGAINST MOLD FUNGI DURING SHIPMENT OF MUSEUM VALUABLES,

Abstract

In order to prevent the growth of mold on packing material, the material must be disinfected. Phenol derivatives cannot be used for this purpose because of their toxicity. Cation-active substances were tested for this purpose, as well as for disinfection of document-storage areas. The characteristics of several preparations are given. Provisional instructions are given for using these preparations. (Author)
