MOTION OF EARTH SATELLITES IN THE ATMOSPHERE WITH NONSPERICAL DISTRIBUTION OF DENSITY DEPENDENT ON THE ALTITUDE (Dvizhenie Sputnikov Zemli v Atmosfere s Nesfericheskim Raspredeleniem Plotnosti Zavisyashchim ot Vysoty),

Abstract

The paper gives the formulae for the change of the orbital elements after one revolution of a satellite around the earth, provided the scale-height, and the latitude and diurnal coefficients depend on the geocentric distance. The errors that arise in the air density and in the diurnal parameters are estimated when these parameters and the scale-height are assumed to be constant. (Author)
